Guzheng
Park View Primary School’s Guzheng Ensemble, established in 1997, introduces students to the traditional Chinese instrument, Guzheng, helping them develop patience, discipline, teamwork and an appreciation for music.
Overview
Park View Primary School’s Guzheng Ensemble has been part of the school since its founding in 1997. Guzheng, a traditional Chinese musical instrument, holds significant cultural value. Learning to play the Guzheng helps students develop patience and self-discipline, while also fostering teamwork and cooperation. At the same time, students gain a deeper appreciation and enjoyment of music.
In addition to participating in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation, the ensemble also performs at various school events, including Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival concerts.
